My calling is to minister to women, which by his grace has been ministering in different women fellowships and churches till God added this specific Ministry to Adult Single Ladies. After the Scripture Union Lagos Area Sisters Conference in Sept. 1999, which I was the Camp Commandant, the Lord laid a strong burden in my heart for the Adult Single Ladies. (Never Married, young Widows, Single Parents- pregnanted & abandon) who are hurting.

On that Saturday which was for prayer and fasting, during the meeting, I asked all the sisters trusting God for a life partner to gather together in a particular place for prayers, half of the

congregation left, even those I thought their children were in secondary school, my heart was broken and since then I started praying for this set of people without having ministry in mind. In the year 2000, many of the Adult Single Sisters started coming to me to share their challenges in the area of marriage. Some were sent by other sisters, others by some mothers in the Lord just to encourage them; When they were many and I saw that it was affecting my job, we agreed to come together once a month to pray instead of talking about the problems.

By this time the burden in my heart became heavier after listening to so many of them, again when I was invited to visit a sister who had stroke because of broken engagement, and another in psychiatric Hospital because of broken engagement.

Before the first meeting, the Lord said to me this is not the only people hurting, it is time to reach out to others. He leads me to the book of Esther chapter 2 and said "As they gathered the young fair maidens for the King to choose Esther, so I gather my daughters to settle them in their homes. This is how we got the name "God's Fair Maidens"- because the gathering of the maidens is no longer for the King but for God.

The ministry was officially inaugurated on 3 rd of March 2001 with 14 Sisters as members, and had her First Anniversary on April 2002 with over 100 people in attendants and about 50 sisters as members. Thank God for giving birth to this Ministry, may His name alone be Praise forever.
